Paper Knives

The Paper Knives imprint serves as a publishing pipeline for Chi-waukee poets through its Self-Publishing Co-operative that connects poets to low-cost printing for small print runs, helping poets earn more per book, while we connect them with a wider distribution network with no out-of-pocket cost. 

Through Paper Knives, The Poetry Movement also publishes:

•  a regular email & video magazine called Boxcutter, which pays contributors $5 per poem

• annual anthologies collecting Transit Poems submissions and the ekphrastic mid(we)st lit fest 

• an anthology series titled Shoulders Gathered by Water that collects poems about moving in, around, through and between Chicago and Milwaukee. 

• an annual juried Short Cuts Sprint chapbook contest
